Where sound becomes a place to land
I was first drawn to sound baths through my own need for deeper rest. Each one I've experienced reminds me how sound can reach places words, frameworks and intention can’t.

A sound bath is an audio experience where layered vibrations from instruments - such as a gong, singing or crystal bowls, chimes and other percussion - wash over you. You simply lie down or sit comfortably and listen. The sounds work on a nervous-system level, often keeping the mind present, and encouraging the body to soften, slow down, and release held tension without effort.
This recording was captured live during a Soulful Ceremony to celebrate the crossing of the year (on the calendar, and also in my life). We started with gentle yoga and transitioned to a gong bath.
Instead of trying to yell at each other over drinks in a loud club, my ideal birthday celebration is a contemplative journey inwards, curated with care, presence, and softness. (And always, chocolate cake!) No pressure to put on one's Sunday best or game face.

Having invited friends, clients and partners to share in this, I'm glad that many of them found it grounding and restful. It was as much for me, as it was a gift to them for their presence in my life and work.

This snippet is the final 18 minutes of the session where we settled into savasana. It is not a guided meditation, and there’s nothing to focus on or get right. Simply listen, and let the sound meet you exactly where you are.
When slowing down isn’t easy
Many of us move through our days in quiet overdrive. Even when life looks “fine,” the nervous system can stay alert — holding tension, restlessness, or a need to stay on.
This sound bath may support you if:
-
your body feels wired, heavy, or unsettled
-
your mind struggles to switch off, especially at night
-
rest feels out of reach, even when you’re tired
-
you’re craving calm without effort or self-improvement
Sound works beneath language, allowing the body to soften without explanation or willpower.

What settling can feel like
Everyone’s experience with sound is different.
You might notice:
Slower breathing and softened muscles
A quieter internal pace
Easier rest or sleep afterward
A feeling of being held, even briefly
A sense of grounding or gentle heaviness in the body
There’s no right way to listen. Even if your mind wanders, your body is still receiving.
You can return to this recording anytime you need a pause.

Hey, I'm Gail - The money midwife
I help people redesign their relationship with money, work, and worth. Not through discipline or strategy — but by creating the conditions for something deeper to shift.
Midwifery isn't about fixing. It's about trusting that the body already knows what it needs — and holding space while you find your way there.
My work is like that. I don't have a script for how your transformation will unfold. I just know that when safety arrives, something in you remembers how to move.
This sound bath is an invitation into that same trust.
Not something to understand. Something to surrender to.
