What Motivates Me?
I strived for 30 years for Conventional Success. Despite being quite good at it, I continued to feel an emptiness that no money or admiration could fill, and abandoned all I knew in search for higher purpose.
Walking through that Darkness into Light fuels me to support others out there who are aching to serve the world with their full and unique brilliance... and want a little help.
I believe that Women - if empowered to own and wield their economic power - make the difference to themselves, their families and a Better World, for the following reasons:
Macroeconomics: women are set to inherit a significant share of the largest wealth transfer - $30 trillion - over the coming decades;
The decade I spent on male-dominated Wall Street: from The Internet Bubble, through 9/11 till 2008’s global financial crisis;
Becoming a mother (to a 6 year old daughter), and consciously rebuilding myself, aligned to purposes, after postpartum depression.
I have coached leaders since 2010, and am certified by the International Coaching Federation (Associate Certified Coach), and in Conversational Intelligence® - the art and neuroscience of building trust, navigating difficult issues and developing high-performing, innovative work cultures through conversations. I coached people to breakthroughs, led programs and raised new leaders at Landmark Education from 2010-12.
Prior to that, the first decade of my career was on Wall Street.
After graduating Magna cum Laude in Finance from The Wharton School of Business, I advised Financial Services and Technology companies on over $10bn worth of M&A, IPO and financing deals at Morgan Stanley.
Promoted and rotated across 4 offices over 3 continents, I served clients from privately-held startups to blue-chip giants, including PIMCO, Legg Mason, Temasek, OCBC Bank, and Siemens.
